Ashes & Snow was an exhibit on Santa Monica Pier that sadly ended Sunday. It will be back in the states in around 5 years or so. The books, posters, dvd's are really worth checking out (though a bit pricey). The web site is:

The exhibit is housed inside of a gallery stacked with hundreds of shipping containers (look like baseless semi-trailers):
